Fresh Find Friday: Planet D - Group Tours
Just one year into their relationship Deb and Dave decided to move from Toronto to Vancouver in pursuit of a musical career. Instead, they both found themselves wrapped up in the blockbuster film industry. Deb kept busy with makeup and Dave handled various behind the scenes aspects of such big hits as Chicago and the Incredible Hulk. It was great, they kept busy, they made money.They both found, however, that after so many months of working 14-16 hour days they needed a break. They didn't just need a break, though, they needed adventure.
Fast forward to 2004, when the couple took downtime in the winter months to escape cold Canada and cycle through exoticEast Asia. Another 4 years into the future (and another 4 years of unbelievable adventures), and the couple has fully decided to dedicate their lives to travel, and of course, to each other.
Deb and Dave went from 'constantly searching for something more', to making a living doing what they loved, and earning plenty of accolades for their work along the way. Both consider being able to travel as a couple the biggest blessing in their lives, with a count of 100 countries and 7 continents visited together so far.
We live by the motto "Adventure is for Everyone" because we believe that you don't have to be an uber-athlete, adrenaline junkie or a part of the ultra rich to be an adventurer! All you need is the desire to achieve something more.
The couple has put everything they have learned into an online blog and travel resource, their website providing everything from photography tips and booking advice to blogs about exotic travels and local gems. The blogs range vastly in a subject, with such articles as Complete Guide to Climbing Mount Fuji to 10 Best Travel Hacks, and so much more in between. They reach over 280,000 people monthly through their blog and over 2.1 million through social media.
London, Ulaanbataar, Cairo, Alaska. . . you name it, they've probably been there, and they probably have excellent tips, tricks, and photos to share with you!
