Coming to Pubcon Austin? Here Are 6 Things You Must Do

If you are coming to Pubcon Austin, we have six quick and easy tips for you to make the most of the conference. So check them out and if you have any questions or need some advice, check out our Facebook Group and talk directly to our Pubcon community.

It might seem like an odd thing to do, but we recommend that you introduce yourself to as many people as possible. Everyone attending is there to network and learn, so take advantage of the opportunity and accumulate as many resources, contacts, and friends as you can. You will be shocked how many attendees you will keep in touch with in the future.

Make a point to introduce yourself to speakers. Many of our new attendees go through the session grid and create a list of speakers they want to meet. This is a great way to get your name out there, find potential resources, and interact with the experts you want to know. Plus, you can even get some of your biggest online marketing questions answered.

Typically each session has a Q&A at the end. Don’t be shy; odds are five other people in the room have the same question. It usually takes one person to ask a question, and soon other related questions follow.

You can also ask questions in the hall, at lunch, and during designated networking times. Pubcon prides itself on having an environment where attendees and speakers help one another, so don’t be afraid to ask questions.

Our exhibitors offer services and tools that help businesses and attendees will have the opportunity to ask any detailed questions they have, face-to-face. Don’t hesitate to ask for a demo or to see examples of what they can do for you.

We will be sending out updates and information via Twitter the day before and during the conference. Our attendees use this hashtag to tweet important facts and strategies they learn in sessions, so if you are in a different session, you can still save tweets, learn from them, and compare them to the slide presentations later.
