The Working Families Party is looking for a creative, dynamic, resourceful Digital Campaigner to engage our growing base of online supporters across social media channels. The Digital Campaigner, Social Media will have a unique opportunity to put their knowledge and creative talents to use producing written and graphical content, growing and engaging our supporter base, and helping to win progressive victories in meaningful issue and candidate campaigns across the country. This position will be a key member of the Working Families Party’s National Digital-Communications Team and will report to the Social Media Manager, while working closely with leaders and staff across departments. 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Oversee the day-to-day execution of our national organic social media strategy, with a focus on growth and engagement, working with the Social Media Manager and other staff and teams across the organization
Articulate a consistent organizational voice on social media across channels, building a cohesive presence
Social media production and calendar management:
Oversee day-to-day social media calendar across national social media channels
Produce content for Working Families Party national social media platforms including Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube, working closely with the Social Media Manager
Write and edit copy, design graphics, and edit simple videos as needed
Manage posting and approval process in key moments, for big events, and for specific requests
Produce and post content to individual social channels of WFP leaders as needed
Assist in developing resources and trainings for WFP staff and organizers across the country
Assist in developing social toolkits for use across the organization and with influencers, allies, and partners
Community engagement and monitoring:
Monitor engagement, responses, and inboxes across WFP’s social media channels in order to respond to supporters, capitalize on opportunities, and help build resilient communities
Draft and respond with constructive and engaging replies to supporter questions and concerns in inboxes and comments
Bring new supporters and members into the organization through organizing on social media channels 
Help moderate comments during live events
Keep up to date on social trends and the news cycle to identify trending topics and opportunities for engagement
Identify and take advantage of additional opportunities for engagement and organizing through Facebook groups, Twitter lists, DMs, and potentially other private channels
Skills and Qualifications
Ability to communicate compellingly and creatively, especially through the written language, in response to breaking news, current events, and pop culture, with a political lens that includes the intersection of race, gender, and class.
At least 1-2 years or cycle of experience producing social media for an organization or campaign, preferably in a political or advocacy setting.
Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, project manage, communicate with teammates.
Understanding of organizational use of social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
Familiarity with social media metrics and the ability to analyze data and draw conclusions about engagement and performance.
Strong attention to detail.
Commitment to a progressive vision of racial, social and economic justice issues and deep understanding of how all of these issues intersect.
Innate skill to find the perfect GIF to describe you or your coworkers’ feelings at any given moment.
Preferred (but not required) skills:
Ability to conceptualize, edit, and produce short videos or graphics for social media.
Ability to design simple graphics using style guides and templates (Canva, Photoshop, Figma)
Experience in online-to-offline organizing.
Experience with YouTube, TikTok, or additional social media platforms.
Experience with project management tools including Airtable, Asana, etc.
Experience with CRMs such as Action Network, Every Action, Blue State Digital, or Action Kit.
Fluency in Spanish.
What Else Should You Know
Compensation: The salary range for this position is $50,000 to $75,000. The final salary will be determined based on an internal equitable scale that takes into consideration years of experience, geographic location, and final job description. Location: The position is full-time and remotely based anywhere in the United States, within a team that works mostly during Eastern Time Zone work hours. When safe to travel, some travel may be required. 
Schedule: Full Time, Permanent
Union Affiliation: WFP is a unionized workplace. This is a nonmanagerial role eligible to join WFP's staff bargaining unit after six months of employment. WFP's union employees are represented by the New York Metropolitan Area Joint Board, Workers United union.
